My fiance was all excited that he could take a half day from work because his boss was out of the office. He called me around 2, whining that his boss showed up at work and now he can’t slack off like he had planned. He emailed me three times with little snippets of bitching about said boss. Then just now he calls me, he’s on his way home and he’s STILL whining about this crap.
I have little patience for this behavior. He fails to recognize that there is never a time when I can take a little slack-off time and breeze out of work early. He glosses over the fact that I, quite often, end up having to stay late at work when every one else in my office has gone home for the weekend. He forgets that he is the one that has been out of town and out of his “oppressive” office for the majority of this month while I have been quietly going to work, going home, doing all the house/yard/pet/etc work. So when he called me just now I told him I had some work to get done and I really couldn’t talk, and he is now actually pissed at me for not being comforting/understanding. Lovely.
Ooooh the angst is just seeping through my skin right now.
